Going off to college last fall was a huge deal for me. I’m super close to my mom, and It seriously broke her heart when I decided to go to college across the country from her. She’s proud of me, but she hates that I’m so far away and had wanted me to stay closer to home. I just really needed to be independent and start my my own life and go where I wanted to go.

I made her a mix tape of songs to listen to when she misses me, and ‘February Air’ is her favorite song I put on it. The song is totally a letter from me to her, to let her know I miss her and I need her, and not to be mad at me . I love Lights, and I guess it’s fitting that it’s on Old Navy Commercials, cause it reminds me of my mom?! haha.
