It’s funny because the commercial that this song is in actually fits the visions I have when I hear this song. “Waiting for my real life to begin…” it just makes me want to quit my job, pack up my things, and take an aimless road trip.

This song is like the anthem for those of us who are stuck in lives that don’t remotely resemble our dreams. I know I’m better off than alot of people, and there are people genuinely suffering through horrible things in this world, and I’m truly grateful for what I do have. That doesn’t mean that my current life is the life I want for myself. I’m happy, I have amazing friends, and a great family, but I know for sure there is a life bigger than this waiting for me around some corner. This song is my mainstay to fill me with comfort and hope, that if I keep working hard and living right, that my “real life” will begin any minute now. :)
